Assistant Banker

Department Description:
The Strategy Business Support unit manages 4 main areas for Wealth Management overall and the Private Bank

1 Strategy Special Projects

2 Performance Management MIS and Business Analytics

3 Private Banking Front Office Business Support

4 Private Banking Client Experience

The unit plays a vital role in supporting the Wealth Management Leadership TeamWMLT and the Private Banking Leadership TeamPBLT to shape and develop the WM and PB business overall by identifying scoping and implementing strategic projects and business development initiatives

It further provides support for all business aspects to the Private Banking Front Office and its Leadership TeamPBLT ranging from backend business analytics to customer service and transaction processing for Private Banking clients

Brief Description:
The Assistant Banker is an important pillar within the Front Office of the Private Bank The position holders main responsibility is to support 12 Relationship Managers and their clients The position holder handles all client requests pertaining to Basic Banking products and serviceseg transactions cheque books fixed deposits statements etc and manages the clients accounts and their documentation requirements In addition the Assistant Banker will support the assigned Relationship Managers with administrative tasks

Detailed Description:
Support Relationship Managers12 in the daytoday management of client relationships

Manage clients accounts and execute Basic Banking transaction requeststransfers cheques clearing cash transactions opening closing and renewal of Fixed Deposits etc

Coordinate with Operations Credit Compliance and other relevant departments to support the RMs to execute client instructions

Exercise appropriate checks and controls as per Banks policies under the RMs supervision

Communicate directly with the client on minor operational matters

Ensure Client Confidentiality and related processes

Prepare basic documentationeg IOSIR compliance account opening forms etc and keep client records

Ensure complete and accurate information is provided in all client documentation before submission to operations and other departments under the RMs supervision

Assist othersenior team members as and when required

Job Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent

Minimum 12 years related work experience

Experience in a customer care service environment

Experience in the framework and business etiquette in MENA markets

Advanced knowledge of Basic Banking products services as well as associated operational processes

Good understanding of Compliance Due Diligence and AntiMoney Laundering Acts as well as standard banking procedures

Diligent with an attention to detail

Customer Service attitude and professional behavior

Additional Details:
Eligibility for applying for internal vacancies

Staff must have completed at least 1 year of service in their current role

New joiners must complete at least 2 years of service in their current role
