The CTO will be the leader of the technical offering for the Banking sector of IBM.
The CTO will be responsible for leading the IBM technical vision and strategy for the Banking sector, aligned with the client business needs and strategy. In this role, the CTO will become part of the IBM Global Technical Leaders community.
Also the CTO will be leading the relationship with clients at a technical level, focus on CxOs, creating trusted relationships, based on his technology and business expertise.
Key responsibilities of a CTA:
Provide proactive technical counsel to CIO and key IT executives on technical strategy, direction and projects
Improve and broaden client access to IBM’s global technical and innovation expertise
Increase the value that clients derive from application of new and existing technologies and accelerate innovation
Work with client Line of Business executives and their teams to identify client’s business and IT needs and design high level solutions to fit business problems
Create solution design assets for internal use to accelerate sales cycles and positively impact solutions quality
Responsible for a wide range of architectural activities from requirements analysis through systems, application and/or process design specification.
CTA should understand the technology trends and how they can help assigned clients and leverage IBM research and development groups to bring innovation to assigned clients.
Leads negotiations with engagement partners and team members (vendors, subcontractors, customers, IBMers) to define project goals and strategies for attaining them.
Anticipates potential problems associated with the solution being developed. Develops & leads execution of the technical risk management plan for the solution to be implemented.
Assesses business and technical impact of solutions. Leads the implementation of solution or provides expert guidance to the solution implementation team. Participates in exploratory activities into new market sectors, architectural solutions, technologies and the use of business partners; leads selection of methodologies, tools and components of total architectural solutions; exhibits strategic vision of functional or unit mission and applies vision in engagements; influences people & organisations, including client and IBM executive management, on issues related to the development of architectural solutions.
This position will be based in Madrid. The successful candidate will be required to travel to Mexico at least 2 weeks per quarter.
At least 5 years of Enterprise Architecture experience, applied in Solutions Designing.
At least 5 years experience in developing Value Propositions which describe and quantify the business value of the solution, including key value drivers which have been confirmed with the client.
Good knowlegde of new solutions and technologies (Analytics, Cognitive…)
Previous experience in consultancy selling roles
Spanish and English Fluent
In-depth knowledge of the Client’s industry (BANKING) and use this knowledge to identify business problems/opportunities and map appropriate solutions.
Experience in understanding how IBM’s business strategy translates into actions to create products and services that meet the needs and expectations of clients.
Experience in having a thorough working knowledge of multi-industry applications and solutions and apply this knowledge in identifying business problems/opportunities and developing appropriate solutions.
