Job Description

As an IT Security Operations Officer, you are responsible for monitoring SOC systems functionality and daily statuses to conduct troubleshooting and assessment before escalating problems to the systems support team.

Detailed Duties and Responsibilities

• Strengthen Cyber Defenses by identifying and implementing security enhancements, automating threat response, fine-tuning CASB/DLP policies for legitimate alert creation, create/using playbooks to automate tasks.
• Perform threat-hunting operations on our XDR / SIEM / SOAR toolsets to detect and mitigate threats by researching cyber adversaries and their tooling and tactics.
• Work collaboratively with the company’s technology teams to ensure end-point security controls are operating efficiently and effectively.
• Prepare monthly management reports, and document technical problems, security incidents, and security-related matters.
• Perform first-line Security Operations activities triaging and processing alerts from invested Microsoft’s SIEM / XDR and Cloud Security toolsets.
• Monitor SOC systems functionality and daily statuses to conduct troubleshooting and assessment before escalating problems to the systems support team.
• Perform ad-hoc Phishing campaigns, and collaborates remediation of Audit, Pen Test, and Bounty findings.

Targeted Qualifications

• Fluency level of 𝗖𝟭 𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵.
• 𝗠𝗶𝗻. 𝟯 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 in Incident Analysis and Response using industry-standard frameworks such as 𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗥𝗘 𝗔𝗧𝗧&𝗖𝗞 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗞𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻.
• Good networking knowledge (𝗟𝗔𝗡, 𝗪𝗔𝗡, 𝗗𝗛𝗖𝗣, 𝗩𝗣𝗡, 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴).
• 𝗠𝗶𝗻. 𝟯 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 working and performing 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.
• Strong organizational skills and punctuality.
• Strong understanding of web protocols and web application security.
• Understanding of 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 and different 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹𝘀/𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀.
• Good scripting and automation skills.
