Role Overview:

The purpose of the role is to acquire quality Premier customers for HSBC and ensure their need fulfilment by creating awareness of relevant products under HSBC Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM) at the time of Premier onboarding.
This requires the ability to build strong business relationships that will source the high value customers, and to educate them in detail on the benefits of the Premier proposition.

The Premier BDM will be rated and compensated on their ability to acquire quality customer relationships for the bank and to successfully articulate the value and benefits of specific products which best meet these high net worth customers’ needs, including Wealth (Insurance & Investment) solutions, credit solutions, etc. through successful referrals to the respective teams.

A strong working relationship is required between the Premier BDM and the Premier Service teams so as to ensure there is a seamless transfer of the customer relationship once fully established.

The Premier BDM must work in close partnership with DST, Branches, Premier Service and Premier Wealth Management teams, Mortgage, CMB and Marketing in order to acquire quality relationships to meet the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) objectives and maximize profitability in line with GWIP.

Job responsibilities:

Customers obtained must be of suitable quality

Achievement of acquisition targets as outlined in the AOP

·
Achievement of cross sell targets for specific products, e.g., Wealth (I&I), credit, etc.

·
Promotion of the Global Premier proposition and Premier Connect

·
Effective ‘buddy’ system to operate with local Premier teams

·
Maximise business volumes by establishing positive working relationships with other relevant businesses / establishments e.g. employers of professionals such as global blue chip companies

·
Conduct corporate road shows and cold calls to corporate clients along with Corporate RMs to support achievement of Premier acquisition and sales targets

·
Promotion of the Member Get Member Scheme (where applicable)

·
Provision of excellent customer service, in line with the HSBC Premier
proposition

·
Creation of an excellent first impression in order that customers will want to strengthen and deepen their relationship with HSBC

·
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other relevant areas of the business eg. CMB, RBWM and Marketing

·
To provide an effective and seamless handover of a customer to a Premier Relationship Manager with the appropriate skill level
