SUMMARY:

Senior Application Support Specialist provides Application support & Deployment services for part of a given Domain to DPDHL Business Units in order to ensure the maximum availability and minimal disruption to business continuity. The position reports to Team Manager of Messaging Infrastructure Support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receives requests for support from business users

• Prioritizes requests in accordance with agreed criteria and the needs of the organization in accordance with SLAs and current processes and procedures

• Investigates problems and other support requests and takes appropriate actions

• Testing and deployment of new application versions

• Follows quality standards and policies

• Liaises with staff responsible for the design & development of system enhancements to overcome known problems or further fulfill user requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• University education – IT background

• 3+ years hands-on experience

• Knowledge of Unix /Linux based systems (HP-UX/Red Hat or others)

• Knowledge of WebMethods OR IBM Integration Bus OR Oracle Enterprise Service Bus OR TIBCO ActiveMatrix OR JBoss ESB

• Database skills (SQL)

• Advanced English (written and spoken)
