Job Description

We are currently looking for a Country Director in Switzerland, to spearhead our client’s company growth in a new country and help bring it to new heights!

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish, develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customers, stakeholders and public offices.
  • Ensure that the company operates within the terms and conditions of all legal agreements and policies of Swiss law.
  • Build from scratch a Local Operation for the new branch in Switzerland.
  • Identify technical capacity gaps, and take action to fill them wherever possible through training or recruitment.
  • Report to the Managing Director on a regular basis against the organizational strategy, targets, budgets, and growth.
  • Lead the delivery of suite of services while promoting the organization’s values and achieving the vision, mission and objectives of, as well as supporting the overall international strategy.
  • Ensure a constant growth in capacity including the quality of projects, finances, human resources, new project opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
  • Demonstrable and inspire leadership by promoting the values, vision, mission, and goal of the Group and in the implementation of the set Strategy.
  • Lead the Organizational Team in making key decisions regarding the implementation of the strategy and overall direction of the group in Switzerland.

 

Targeted Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 𝟱 𝘁𝗼𝟭𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 of management experience.
  • Knowledge of the 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵 language.
  • 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵, 𝗖𝟮 level of fluency.
  • 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵, 𝗖𝟮 level of fluency.
  • Personnel culture and a positive attitude.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving.
  • Skills for efficient navigation of the internet.
  • Experience in managing complex operations.
  • Experience with working in Switzerland (Market analysis, Market culture, recruitment,cross-region operations,labour law, processes, policies and accounting…. etc)
  • Commercial experience of the local market, including Sales and business development.
  • Understanding of local market: Labour law, processes, policies, and finance.
  • Tech background (Development, QA, Engineering, etc.)
  • A solutions-focussed mindset.
  • Comfort with a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Compelling relationship-building capabilities.
  • Trustworthy, supportive and creditable.
  • Fast thinker and open to change.
  • Attention to detail, critical-thinker and problem-solver.
